In 2021 it will be the 150th anniversary of Morris’s move to Kelmscott Manor. Now owned by the Society of Antiquaries it is undergoing an extensive conservation to enable it to be opened again in time for the anniversary celebration. During this time, the contents will be at the Society in London and we are taking this opportunity to offer a short three day tour in London. We will again visit Red House and also go to Cambridge, to the Morris Gallery and to Standen.
Additionally, Arts and Crafts Tours is pleased to be supporting the conservation work undertaken by the Society of Antiquaries at Kelmscott Manor and in particular the conservation of the bed cover designed by May Morris for the bed in Morris’ bedroom at the manor. Read more about the conservation work and we sincerely hope you’ll want to participate.
