June 13 – June 22, 2026
Arts & Crafts Tours is pleased to announce a tour dedicated to the examination of Arts & Crafts stained glass in Ireland. Bring your binoculars and put yourself nose-to-nose with the delights of Thomas and John Earley, Harry Clarke and Sara Purser windows, steeped in the atmosphere of a century of reverence. The small group will travel in the company of a wonderfully knowledgeable and personable guide – Michael Earley, a retired surgeon who has devoted himself to his family’s craft and trade. As we travel, we will meet other experts in historic stained glass as well. We anticipate that several of these will join us for a lunch or dinner when you will be able to discuss what you’ve seen and learned with them.
Remembering all the beautiful stained glass windows and lamps you have seen, (especially when the sun is shining brightly outside or the lamp is turned on) you will do a deep dive into stained glass. We’ll begin with a trip to a stained glass studio where you will learn how the glass is made – how different shades of color or effects in the glass are achieved.
We will travel through Ireland seeing examples of stained glass in churches, universities, museums and even perhaps a few private homes.

As always, you’ll be picked up at the airport or train station when you arrive and taken to our first hotel in Dublin. As the week continues, you’ll visit many large and small communities in the West, Southwest, East and Dublin enjoying and learning about the stained glass found in these places. In addition, the weather should be sunny and fine and we’ll enjoy the 1,000 shades of green in the countryside. In each place you’ll stay in luxurious hotels, enjoy fabulous meals, renew past acquaintances and make new friends.
We do hope you’ll sign onto this tour that will be a truly memorable experience! Reserve your place today!
